IQNA – Yemeni political figures and groups condemned the Zionist regime’s acts of terrorism against Lebanon that left many martyred or wounded.

Ambulances take to hospitals those wounded in explosions caused by wireless communication devices, known as pagers, in Lebanon on September 17, 2024

On Tuesday, explosions caused by wireless communication devices, known as pagers, injured thousands of people and killed at least nine in Lebanon, including Hezbollah members and civilians.

Officials, citing preliminary investigations, indicated that the blasts were likely the result of a remote cyberattack orchestrated by the Israeli regime amidst rising tensions in the region.

The attack has sparked widespread condemnation in the Arab and Muslim world, including Yemen.

Hashem Sharafeddin, a spokesman for the Yemeni government described the attack as a brutal crime and a flagrant violation of international law.

He said such moves indicate the Zionists’ thirst for blood and massacre of people.

He also offered condolences to the Hezbollah resistance movement and the families of the victims, Al-manar reported.

The Yemeni nation is certain that this cowardly act by the Zionists will only strengthen the resolve of the Lebanese Islamic resistance to defend Lebanon, Palestine and al-Quds and defeat the Zionist regime, he went on to say.

Spokesman for Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement Mohammed Abdul-Salam also condemned the Israeli act of terrorism and blatant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty.
